Technique #1a: FACE UP or sitting → get back to feet ASAP → accelerate in same direction as HEAD

Scenario:  carry against dominate tackle to reform

Coaching points/cues: Roll and get front foot down ASAP pushing backwards to go forwards

Technique #1b: FACE UP or sitting → get back to feet ASAP → accelerate in same direction as FEET

Scenario:  breakdown reload back into line

Coaching points/cues: Swivel on one hand/foot getting leg under hip ASAP into ‘split stance’ acceleration posture

Technique #2a: FACE DOWN → get back to feet ASAP → accelerate in same direction as FEET

Scenario: tackle to line break chase

Coaching points/cues: quickly ‘swivel’ to feet (no knees) into an ‘split stance’ acceleration posture

Technique #2b: FACE DOWN → get back to feet ASAP → accelerate in same direction as HEAD

Scenario:  carry to reform:

Coaching points/cues: Bounce to ‘split stance’ acceleration posture without using knees

Technique #4: fall to ground → roll → re-accelerate (same/opposite direction) – 2 videos for both direction

Scenario:  varied/random

Coaching points/cues: roll ‘cheek-to-cheek’ in one movement

Technique #5: when TRAPPED under a ruck → lever or ‘prawn’ out → reload to feet

Scenario:  varied/random

Coaching points/cues: ‘lever’ out, rather than ‘push’ player off quickly getting to feet (no knees) into an ‘split stance’ acceleration posture
