At the GAIN 2017 conference, Sal Marinello asked me a couple of good questions about Olympic Lifting variations using single leg.
These example are from Suntory in Japan. The players have just started using these Olympic variations. Note that they will always try to finish in Hip Lock. It is impossible to hold this position for long, but “fighting” to keep that lock for a second or two is very important.
Dont need to coach too much detail on thsese, just focus on the “end point”. ie: get the bar or aquabag to the top positions as fast and direct as possible.
And fight to hold the hip lock despite the balance challenge.
